Sacandaga Park Dance Hall

The Sacandaga Park Dance hall was a structure built in 1885 as an open air, vaulted roof pavilion.  It had potential as a multi-use structure but was primarily used for guests to enjoy dance contests and recreational “Dime Dancing” to popular music of the era.  The Dance Hall was one of many components of the amusement park and the only recreational structure still standing as a legacy of the Railroad’s influence.

The structure is now privately owned and used as a boat storage barn.
