The Sacandaga Station

The Sacandaga Station was complete in 1875 connecting the rustic tent community to the rest of New York State.  When the railroad lines and station was built, it allowed access to the natural beauty of the area and displaced the tents in favor of more permanent vacation cottages and hotels.  With the increased transportation to a beautiful vacation destination, the FJ&G Railroad also established the Sacandaga Amusement Company for the benefit of its guests.

The current Sacandaga Station was originally built in 1922 has been renovated in 2004 to maintain the historic aesthetic with the new purpose as a guest house for rent within the renovated Sacandaga Park cottage community.
